🎉 NEW SEED INVESTMENT 🎉
We’re excited to announce our latest investment in FIDUCIAL, the Delft-based dual-use computer vision startup enabling drones to autonomously navigate and intercept enemy drones! The €2M+ round was led by Graduate Ventures and further backed by the SecFund, with additional debt financing from Rabobank.
‍
Why we invest - Modern operational environments require autonomous systems that are reliable and resilient under pressure. Fiducial is building exactly that: computer vision software that allows drones and drone detection systems to operate independently in complex environments where conventional navigation and radar-based systems are limited or unsuited.
‍
Market - Europe is rapidly strengthening its strategic defence capabilities, while demand for autonomous inspection and critical infrastructure protection is also accelerating. Fiducial sits at the intersection of these trends, with technology that has already been validated in demanding real-world conditions and can be applied across both defence and civil markets (dual-use).
‍
Technology - Fiducial takes a “Precision First” approach. Rather than relying solely on AI, the team combines classical computer vision, 3D vision and spatial geometry with AI where it adds measurable value. Their software enables three core capabilities: passive visual and thermal detection, GPS-independent positioning, and onboard autonomy for detecting, tracking and intercepting aerial threats.
‍
Team - Founded by a team of TU Delft alumni, Fiducial combines deep technical expertise with a clear understanding of what is needed in the field. From its origins in industrial inspection to its expansion into defence technology, the team has shown the ability to turn advanced research into mission-critical software.
