❓ 𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝘄𝗲 𝗶𝗻𝘃𝗲𝘀𝘁 – Every year, millions of women experience peripartum and postpartum depression, yet today’s care is still largely reactive. DecipHER is tackling this major unmet need by developing a way to identify women at risk before symptoms become a crisis. By enabling earlier intervention and more personalised care, DecipHER has the potential to transform maternal mental healthcare.

💡 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗲𝘁 – Women’s health remains a significantly underserved market, with postpartum depression affecting an estimated 10–20% of mothers worldwide. With around 130 million births every year globally, DecipHER addresses a massive healthcare challenge and aims to become the missing diagnostic layer for maternal mental health.

❕ 𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘆 – DecipHER is building a proprietary AI platform that combines questionnaire data with biological markers from blood samples collected during pregnancy and postpartum. By analysing hormones, immune markers, metabolites, and genetic information over time, the platform identifies biological signatures linked to depression risk and translates them into actionable care recommendations.

👥 𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗺 – DecipHER is founded by Amy FitzPatrick, MSc, a biologist with 30 years of healthcare experience and expertise in neuroscience, immunology, endocrinology, and systems biology. She is joined by Carolyn Keating, PhD, CMPP, and supported by leading experts in reproductive mental health, clinical research, and AI, including researchers and advisors from Erasmus MC, Amsterdam UMC, OLVG, and the University of Iowa.We are excited to support DecipHER in bringing earlier detection, prevention, and personalised care to women around the world.
