🎉 𝗪𝗲 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗲𝘅𝗰𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗶𝗻𝘃𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗶𝗻 𝗡𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲, the company building an autonomous finance function for mid-sized businesses. Nance has raised a €1m pre-seed round, and we are joined by notable angel investors, including Chris Zadeh (Ohpen), Kalo Bagijn (BinckBank, Brand New Day), Kees Koolen (Booking.com), Dennis Dijkstra (Flow Traders), and members of the Adyen founding team.
❓ Why we invest – Nance automates operational finance, giving a company control over its cash, more working capital, and real-time insight to drive decisions.By using AI to automate reconciliation, matching, processing, and debtor and creditor management, Nance enables a continuous close and keeps financial data accurate and up to date. This reduces manual work, improves cash visibility, and helps turn finance operations from a reactive back-office function into a source of efficiency and better decision-making.Since launching in April 2026, Nance is being used by more than 30 businesses, onboarding companies every single week since. For a company this young, that combination of adoption and zero churn is the clearest signal we look for: customers are not trying the product, they are running their finances on it.
💡 Market – Every company needs finance operations, and for SMBs that work is one of the largest recurring costs on the books. As AI becomes capable of doing the work rather than merely assisting with it, an enormous global pool of finance labor becomes addressable for the first time, and Dutch SMBs are increasingly ready to adopt AI in core business processes. Nance is entering that opening with a clear wedge and real momentum.❕ Technology – Nance works the way a finance colleague does. It connects to the systems a company already runs on, such as Exact Online and Google Workspace, and operates through a chat interface like Slack. Nance then scopes the task, builds an execution plan, carries out the work with human approval wherever it matters, and automates the recurring version of that task over time. Today that covers invoice processing, credit card and statement reconciliation, financial reporting, payment matching, and supplier follow-up, and it takes on more with every customer it works alongside.
👥 Team – Nance is led by a founding team that has built exactly the kind of infrastructure this problem demands. CEO Jeroen Netten worked on payments infrastructure at Adyen, then co-founded Founda, a healthcare interoperability company. CPO Sam van Houten is a serial entrepreneur with product experience across several SaaS companies. CTO Arryon Tijsma co-founded Sentinels, the financial crime detection platform acquired by Fenergo. Between them, they have built payments, compliance, and data systems at the scale and standard that finance work requires.
