What is it that Bladesense does?

Bladesense wants to automate and digitize inspection procedures of composite components. We are developing a sensor package for a robot which can detect defects that are not visual to the unaided eye inside composite material. Example of applications are the safety inspection of airplanes in the aerospace industry or the quality control at the production of these aircrafts.

What year did you start your startup and how did you come up with the idea?

Bladesense is a startup company that originally focused on the wind industry but has recently pivoted to the aerospace industry. They realized that their technology had even greater potential in the aerospace industry. And the founders have a study background in aerospace engineering, so this seemed like a better fit.

You got assigned a coach from our network, who is this?

What is the biggest benefit of having a coach?

A coach greatest strength is the ability to see things from a new perspective. He/She helps to challenge our limiting beliefs and see our situation in a different light, which can open up new possibilities and opportunities.
